Slashing production costs and eliminating the need for pre-printed cheques, the CBD 1000 optimizes operations and facilitates just-in-time production. Cheque books are efficiently produced within 120 seconds for a 50-page book, enhancing efficiency and customer satisfaction.

In essence, the CBD 1000 represents a leap forward in cheque book production, elevating operational efficiency and setting new standards for customer service.

The machine features a top-loading design, granting direct access to the feeding station comprising two compartments capable of storing 1500 checks and 600 covers/order forms.

Upon feeding, checks proceed to the MICR impact encoding station, where an E13B or CMC7 wheel, struck by the encoding hammer, transfers the MICR ribbon onto the codeline area.

Optionally, the CBD 1000HT model can incorporate an OCR reader to handle checks with pre-printed serial numbers, preventing mismatch printing due to sequence alteration caused by double feeding issues, which can be detected by specialized sensors.

Checks undergo verification via a MICR reader, ensuring their readiness for the subsequent printing station or routing them, after punching and voiding, to the reject bin in case of encoding errors, thus preserving the correct check sequence.

The printing station comprises three dotmatrix impact printers, each housed in a manually adjustable holder, facilitating printing of up to two lines of text in draft quality or a single line of letter-quality text with a selectable font.

Validated checks proceed to the alignment station, where a maximum booklet of 50 sheets plus covers is assembled, aligned, and forwarded to the stapling unit. Following stapling, the booklet is conveyed to the binding station, where a precise mechanism applies adhesive tape to the booklet's edge before releasing it through the output slot.

In case of missed booklet retrieval, the checkbook is retracted and securely stored in an internal collection box, safeguarded by locking keys along with the entire external case.

The CBD 1000HT connects to the host computer via an RS232 serial port or alternatively through a USB 2.0 Full Speed compatible link.
